Christmas Holiday Round-Up, Day 12 & 13

Day 12, December 26th 2012

Hi everyone! On Wednesday we didn't really do anything because my friend Caelan and her family are going back to Hong Kong. They had to get ready and pack all their bags. Around 1:15pm we had to drive them to the airport and say goodbye. I always hate that part of visits. But along with saying goodbye, you say 'see you next time' or 'see you soon'. And it's true. When you say goodbye you are never saying goodbye forever. For Christmas, my parents gift to me was a trip to Hong Kong during the Easter break to go and spend a week there with Caelan on my own! I'll go on my own for the first week them my family join us on the second week. It is going to be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to going! I do miss Caelan but I can't wait to see her in April during Easter!
Todays round-up is only short because not that much happened.
Hope you all are having a great holiday!

Day 13, December 27th 2012

Hey again! So today was a fun day. In the morning my Dad, sister Tessa and brother Hamish all went prawn fishing. For those of you who don't know what that is, it like fishing other than it's in an inclosed area, the rods are just string and a hook with bait on the end of a pole. I know this probably sounds boring but it is actually not bad. In a way it was quite fun! We were there for an hour and caught around 8-10 prawns altogether. Tessa and I shared a rod and my Dad and Hamish shared one. We had a small contest to see who could catch the most. Dad and Hamish won. Tessa and I would of had heaps more, other than we lost about half of them, sadly. At times it was boring when there was no action, but in a way I still found it nice just sit around and chat whilst waiting for prawns to take to bait so that we could catch them. Poor prawns, they never say it coming. So after the hour was up we got the prawns out from the net and put them in a bag to take home.

Wait for it, wait for it!

Got it!

For lunch instead of having prawns, Tessa and I made bacon and cheese casadias! They were really good!

Cooking the bacon!

After lunch, my family and I went to a department store called Metro (or at least I think that's what it was called). They were having a huge sale only for a couple of days and we thought we would check it out. We were there for a couple of hours. My Mum needed a new suitcase and the rest of us just wanted to look around. We were there for around 2-2:30 hours. It didn't seem like that long though. I was looking at shoe and clothes and the bag. But mostly helping my Mum and Dad look for things. Whilst my parents were busy looking at the suitcases Tessa and I went to go look at the Xbox games and the Wii games. Tessa had a go on Dance Central. I took a video of it but I won't post it. Sorry! Anyway, after 10 minutes of that we started to get a bit bored so we found our parents and my Mum said she wanted to go and look at some clothes. I found a really nice black cardigan that I got and just a couple of tank tops, blue and pink (they didn't have purple sadly), and something else and a new backpack for school. After that we went home.
Shopping!

At home my parents made Tessa, Hamish and I some dinner. Then I had to do the dishes because it was my day. Tessa and I are taking turns doing jobs around the house, vacuuming, dished, dusting, etc, whilst my helper is on holiday! After I finished the dished I took my dog Whiskey out for a walk/run. Oh by the way, Whiskey is better now! He was just sick for a bit!
